Eagle: KAKE GM Resigns
Thanks to the reader who forwarded me the link from the Eagle website that reports KAKE's GM has resigned. The whole link did not come through in the comments section from the previous post so here it is. To read the article you need a user name since the Eagle has moved to such desperate measures. (Yes the user name is free and all, but it still is a hassle). -Hal

KAKE's parent company is on the ropes. It has $870 Million in debt and the company right now is valued at $130 Million.

LOL anon 10:02 you must not know anything about TC. He will, and has, done anything to save a buck. TC has been a curse on that station and they will be beter off without him, now if they could only wash the gray away maybe KAKE would be a decent place to work again. I say ding dong thank god he is gone!
He may have done anything to save a buck, but I can promise you he didn't do enough.

Isn't he one of the folks criticizing KWCH employees because they stayed put and didn't move up?

Cole has never criticized KWCH employees for not moving up. Someone else on this blog has. And that someone else is right.
Which News Director just quit? Just a couple days after a GM?

If KWCH is such a great place to work and all is dandy, why are the looking for another News Dirctor?
It would be funny if the News Director at KWCH left---for a BIGGER market!

So much for KWCH being a great place to work.
KWCH's News Director, Michele Gors, quit (or was forced to resign), along with the Assignment Manager.
Gors arrived 31 months ago and took KWCH's content to nothing. This development is a huge plus for KWCH and its great staff.
TC is getting a piece of the pie, too. Not just a GM job.
People move on to different jobs all the time. People shouldn't read much into the moving on of KAKE's GM and KWCH News Director and Assignment Editor.
Can anyone answer why KWCH gave up Health Info TV and allowed KAKE to move into that?

KWCH, Channel 12, news director Michele Gors resigned Tuesday, and assignment editor Karen Hager resigned today.
"We're a very strong station and continue to be," station president and general manager Joan Barrett said.
Barrett said it's common for media outlets to see staff come and go.
"Sometimes people make decisions and changes are made."
She wouldn't comment further.
Where's the KWCH cheerleader now?
ND at KWCH was fired on Tuesday. That's all you need to know.
Atheists spell it without it capitalized so I don't give a doughnut hole what the AP style book says.

Maybe you should have pointed out the obvious mistakes.....the way I spelled better with one t or I did not capitalize Gray....least then you would have been correct.
Typos and spelling mistakes aside what I said still holds true.
Stick that in your "AP style" hole and smoke it!
