Wichita State Woody Warning

They say they come in threes. Whats next. First we had the Winter Weather Woody Warning, that showed despite how many weather gadgets the weather boys have, they can be wrong. They were definitely wrong in the Wichita area. Didn't look like 2-5 inches (I even checked my grassy area) they were forecasting for Wichita. Now Garden City and places out west can say Dave, Merril and the boys were right. The second Woody Warning to hit the area had to be the WSU coaching search which wrapped up with a quickly called presser early Saturday afternoon with the naming of Gregg Marshall as coach. Yesterday were stories of the guy being at WSU, but no fresh video of him. Schaus must be a mastermind of hiding candidates from the media. You usually can always count on the classic shot of a guy getting off of an airplane, acting like even though he had never been in town that its perfectly normal for him to be in a town, off the beaten path. Then he acts all shocked when asked if he has been offered a coaching gig. Normally the coach acts if he hasn't even heard the word, "basketball" muttered before. In this case none of that, just the new coach Gregg Marshall on the podium announced as new coach. I will say as much as it pained me to see Mark Turgeon on the podium at Texas A&M they did it right. They made him get in a burgundy blazer in front of the media. Why cant Wichita State do that for their coach. Oh yeah, I forgot an Ugly yellow sports coat might spoil the whole coaching contract negotiations. -Hal
