The Wichita TV News has issued a Winter Weather Woody Warning effective immediately for people in the Wichita TV news coverage area. People in the warned area should expect a period of station meteorologists reappearing in news stories on weather after just spending 2 minutes live on air saying this will be "the storm of the Century," cliche shots of people bracing for the next "Mother Nature Fury," and the interview from someone saying, "Darn, I've never seen it this bad."
At approximately 6:04PM, the early indications of the Weather Woody were spotted on Channel 10 as the station meteorologist was shown in a story dramatically hard at work behind his banks of computers, just seconds after he appeared live saying nearly the same thing. Cliche video of people going to the nearby hardware store and the manager saying he had to pull the salt and shovels out of his storeroom were also spotted.
The tracking of this storm should travel east and be over Channel 3 by 10PM and probably at a near identical time on Channel 12.
People in the warned area should expect conditions only to worsen from the impending Weather Woody and not let up until early to late Saturday afternoon. -Hal
